On October 10-11, 2019, the Asia Pacific Innovation Conference (APIC) 2019 was held by the School of Economics of Peking University. The conference made an in-depth academic discussion from the aspects of innovation and knowledge overflow, intellectual property policy and innovation, enterprise strategy and innovation, innovation and environment, innovation and technology transfer of university, patent examination and evaluation, China's patent, medicine innovation and development, human capital innovation, science and innovation, and innovation policy, etc. More than 100 well-known scholars and experts from the field of management and economics at home and abroad participated in the conference. Professor Tian Xuan (Tsinghua University), Professor Dietmar Harhoff (Max Planck Institute for Innovation; University of Munich) and Professor Zhang Xiaobo (Peking University) delivered keynote speeches respectively.
Professor Tang Heng, Associate Professor Long Xingle, Associate Professor Sun Huaping, He Yingqi and Sun Yinglin attend the conference. Associate Professor Long Xingle reported the latest research of "Endogenous innovation, FDI and Industrial pollution in China: A Threshold effect of human capital” on behalf of the team. The academic significance and innovative value of the research have been highly recognized by the experts. During the conference, Professor Tang Heng (Director of Jiangsu Intellectual Property Research Center; Deputy Dean of School of Management of Jiangsu University), Professor Dietmar Harhoff (Max Planck Institute for Innovation; University of Munich) and Professor Brian Wright (University of California, Berkeley) exchanged views on institutional cooperation and student exchanges, looking forward to active international exchanges and collaboration in the field of intellectual property.
The 2020 APIC will be held by Inho University of South Korea while the 2021 APIC will be held by Jiangsu University.
