Bidding farewell to the old year and leaping into a new journey like a dragon! On February 28th, the School of Intellectual Property organized and held the faculty meeting for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The meeting was attended by the Party branch secretary Tang Heng, Dean Zhao Guanbing, Vice Deans Han Kuiguo and Li Qiang, and all faculty members. The meeting was chaired by Tang Heng.

During the meeting, Zhao Guanbing briefly summarized the achievements of the School in the areas of discipline and specialty construction, undergraduate education, patent management, intellectual property training, big data platform, and the construction of research institutes in the year 2023. He emphasized key points and specific requirements related to the school's personnel and assessment system reform. Under the strong leadership of the school's Party committee and administration, the entire school has vigorously promoted the Party's construction and the high-quality development of its undertakings, reaching new levels of work. In the context of the country's deepening efforts to build a strong intellectual property nation, the School of Intellectual Property must adhere to a characteristic, market-oriented, and international orientation. It should also adhere to the principles of talent-driven development, quality-oriented development, and the fundamental task of cultivating virtue to create a distinctive brand for the School of Intellectual Property. The school should collaboratively promote key work such as talent development and scientific research, and focus on driving the high-quality development of the school.

Tang Heng expressed sincere thanks to all faculty members for their hard work. She emphasized that 2024 is a year of high-quality development and improvement of key tasks for the School of Intellectual Property. Everyone should adhere to the leadership of Party building in the development of the school, unify their thoughts, strive for a qualitative leap in key tasks such as the application for professional degrees in intellectual property, undergraduate education, faculty team construction, and scientific research. She hoped that all faculty members would take the development goals of the school and the college as their guide, liberate their thinking, unite, work diligently, and make a meaningful contribution to the high-quality development of the school and college!

After the meeting, all faculty members unanimously agreed that the conference clarified the direction for the next steps and sounded the horn for the high-standard and high-quality work in the new semester.
