From 19 to 22 October, the 2024 World Intellectual Property Congress of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) was held in Hangzhou. This is the first time in 127 years since the establishment of the Association to hold the World Intellectual Property Congress in China. Chen Hanyu, a student of IP 2301 in our college, attended this feast of intellectual property academic exchanges.
Chen Hanyu said that by participating in such international academic exchanges on intellectual property, and gathering with elites in the field of intellectual property from all over the world and communicating with them in the same classroom, he not only came into contact with the forefront of intellectual property academics, opened up the international vision, improved his English level, and deeply sensed the great potential of intellectual property research, but also made clearer the direction of his future endeavours, and determined his goal of contributing to the telling of the story of China's intellectual property rights. Goal.
Since the first recruitment of undergraduates in 2023, the School has insisted on the postgraduate cultivation of undergraduate education, and actively organised and encouraged students to participate in various disciplinary competitions, scientific research projects and academic exchanges, so as to cultivate intellectual property talents with an international perspective and professional qualities.
The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) is one of the earliest established international non-governmental organisations in the field of intellectual property and is the principal non-governmental intellectual property advisory body to the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). The World Intellectual Property Congress is held once a year. This year's Congress is co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (IAPIP), and hosted by the Hangzhou Municipal People's Government and the China Chapter of IAPIP.
