In September 2022, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Ministry of Education issued the Catalogue of Graduate Education Disciplines (2022), adding a new category of intellectual property professional degrees, which provides a special channel for academic education for cultivating high-level applied talents in intellectual property. Since the State Intellectual Property Office launched this work in 2018, Jiangsu University, based on the existing solid talent training foundation and work characteristics, as a member of the leading group for the application and establishment of intellectual property professional degrees of the State Intellectual Property Office and its secretariat, has carefully organized many national seminars on the construction of intellectual property professional degrees. He took the lead in drafting the demonstration report, actively undertook a number of research and research work related to intellectual property talents, and continuously carried out the design of the professional degree construction system, which played an important role in promoting the successful establishment of the intellectual property professional degree.

On December 5, in order to thank Jiangsu University for its hard work and effectiveness in the application and establishment of intellectual property professional degrees, the Personnel Department of the State Intellectual Property Office sent a letter of thanks to express its gratitude, and hoped that Jiangsu University would continue to play an important role in the construction of intellectual property professional degrees and the cultivation of high-level intellectual property talents in the future. In the future, our university will continue to play a role in promoting the construction of a high starting point for intellectual property professional degrees, and do a good job in promoting the research and promotion of the construction of professional degrees under the leadership of the State Intellectual Property Office, and at the same time lay a solid foundation for building the characteristics of the cultivation of intellectual property professionals in our university.
