Since 2003, the college has carried out talent cultivation in the field of intellectual property for master's students in four majors, including business administration and law. In 2024, it was approved as one of the first batch of intellectual property master's degree programs in China. In 2021, it was approved as a second level interdisciplinary doctoral program in "Intellectual Property Studies", further enhancing the strength and influence of the college in cultivating high-end talents in intellectual property. So far, we have trained a total of 219 master's and doctoral students in the field of intellectual property.

The college has a rich and diverse platform for intellectual property research, teaching, and practice. It coordinates two provincial-level research platforms, Jiangsu Intellectual Property Research Center and Yangtze River Delta New Structure Economics Intellectual Property Research Institute, as well as five national level service platforms, including WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC), national level patent navigation engineering support service institution, national intellectual property training (Jiangsu) base, national small and medium-sized enterprise public service demonstration platform, and national patent operation pilot - Huizhi Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd. It has independently built an intellectual property big data laboratory and created a national level virtual simulation course, providing comprehensive research and practical training for intellectual property creation, application, protection, management, and service for intellectual property talent cultivation.
