Recently, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province issued the decision on awarding the third Jiangsu Provincial Patent Inventor Award. Professor Jianning Ding was awarded and ranked first. The Award is the highest award in the field of intellectual property in Jiangsu Province sponsored by the provincial government, and is selected every two years.

Professor Ding has been engaged in the research of micro nano manufacturing of new energy materials and devices for a long time, focusing on the major strategic needs of the national new energy industry. He has successively presided over more than 40 projects. By the end of 2019, Professor Ding has 132 valid patents (5 overseas authorized) and 87 patent applications (4 PCT applications) in the last three years. Professor Ding has long been committed to promoting the deep integration of research and application. His patents and achievements have been applied to Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd., promoting the domestic key leading photovoltaic enterprises to realize the localization of equipment, and boosting China's crystalline silicon solar cells manufacturing technology leading in the world.
