Cao Wei, deputy director of the Pharmaceutical and Biological Invention Examination Department of the Jiangsu Center for Patent Examination Cooperation of the State Intellectual Property Office, Xu Yin, deputy director of the Food Engineering Office of the Ministry of Medicine, Wang Yan, deputy director of the Food Engineering Office of the Ministry of Medicine, Zhang Hongyin, deputy president of the Food Institute, and relevant inventors and examiners attended the conference, The meeting was chaired by Han Kuiguo, Vice President of the Institute of Intellectual Property Rights.
Cao Wei, Deputy Director, introduced the background, process and advantages of centralized patent examination, as well as the scheme of this centralized examination project. Centralized examination is a pilot work to implement high-value patent policies. It will concentrate resources to serve high-quality cases. Being selected as the first batch of centralized examination units is a recognition of the school's intellectual property work.
This centralized examination involved more than 70 invention applications in the school food field. At the meeting, 12 patent applications were point-to-point communicated. The inventors and examiners focused on discussing the concept of the patent application scheme, the technical problems solved, and the creative problems. The discussion lasted for more than three hours, which greatly improved the examination efficiency.
