Professor Tang Heng was elected as a member of the 1st National Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Intellectual Property
Recently, the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security jointly issued the Notice on the Establishment and Adjustment of the National Steering Committee for Graduate Education of 12 Professional Degrees including Applied Ethics (Degree [2023] No. 7), which announced the list of members of the first National Steering Committee for Graduate Education of 9 professional degrees including applied ethics.
Since 2018, when the State Intellectual Property Office launched the application and setting of China's intellectual property professional degree, Jiangsu University, based on the existing solid talent training foundation and work characteristics, as a member of the leading group for the application and establishment of intellectual property professional degree of the State Intellectual Property Office and its secretariat, has carefully organized many national seminars on the construction of intellectual property professional degrees. He took the lead in drafting the demonstration report, actively undertook a number of research and research work related to intellectual property talents, and continuously carried out the design of the professional degree construction system, which played an important role in promoting the successful establishment of the intellectual property professional degree.
Professor Tang Heng was elected as a member of the first National Steering Committee for Graduate Education in Intellectual Property, which reflects the influence and comprehensive strength of our university in the cultivation of intellectual property talents, and will play a positive role in promoting our university to continue to deepen the reform of graduate education in the new era and improve the quality level of master's degree training in intellectual property.
Focusing on the national strategic needs, relying on the advantages of engineering, management and other disciplines, our university actively explores the interdisciplinary integration, and independently sets up a doctoral degree authorization point for the interdisciplinary secondary discipline of "intellectual property", so as to continuously develop and consolidate the highland advantages of our university in the cultivation of innovative, compound and applied talents. As the second independent intellectual property college in Jiangsu Province, the School of Intellectual Property adheres to the unique development model of "integration of production, learning, research and application of intellectual property" in the country, and has built a full-sequence training system for undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees, and has now recruited master's students in the fields of business administration, management science and engineering, library, information and archives management, law, master of law, master of business administration, master of library and information technology, and doctoral students in management science and engineering.
In the future, our university will continue to play a role in promoting the construction of a high starting point for intellectual property professional degrees, and do a good job in promoting the research and promotion of the construction of professional degrees under the leadership of the State Intellectual Property Office, and at the same time lay a solid foundation for building the characteristics of the cultivation of intellectual property professional degree talents in our university.
