On May 13, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the   establishment of the School of Intellectual Property, President Xiaohong Yan and his party went to   the School of Intellectual Property for research and guidance. Leaders of the   personnel office, academic affairs office, science and technology office,   graduate school and other functional departments participated in the   investigation. All members of the School of Intellectual Property, heads of   management departments and some faculty representatives attended the meeting.

Heng Tang, the dean of the School of Intellectual Property, reported on the career  development of the school since its establishment and the future development goals, positioning and central work of the school. Dan Li, secretary of the direct party branch, made a supplementary report on the construction of intellectual property disciplines and the   construction of the talent team. Members made supplementary speeches on the work in charge. Subsequently, the leaders of the personnel department, the academic affairs department, the science and technology department, and the graduate school respectively gave guidance on the bottleneck problems encountered in the development of the college.

President Yan fully affirmed the achievements made by the Institute of Intellectual Property in the past year and its future development plans. At the same time, he pointed out that the development of the School of Intellectual Property should use new mechanismsto produce new effects and great results. In order to realize the sustainable new development of the intellectual property business, we must focus on creating two characteristics: one is to continue to create the characteristics of the   whole chain of "production, study, research and application", and we must do something in these four aspects and make great achievements; the second is to explore a new type of college mechanism, to create a new type of college in the country.

Finally, President Yan put forward four hopes and requirements for the future development of the School of   Intellectual Property. The first is to focus on attracting and training high-end talents, improving and optimizing the internal governance system and mechanism; the second is to "hold" the position in the domestic intellectual property field, and continue to support and enhance the school's influence and radiation; the   third is to promote the development of internationalization work, and take the   lead in planning the "One Belt One Road”  intellectual property talent training and teacher training; the fourth is to  do a good job in the "school think tank", optimizing the patent policy orientation and   providing high-quality services for school development.

The research meeting also discussed the development of intellectual property disciplines and the construction of intellectual property big data laboratories in detail.
