On April 23, on the occasion of the 21st World Intellectual Property Day, the School of Intellectual Property of Jiangsu University invited Yan Ding, deputy director of the Machinery Invention Examination Department of the Patent Office of the State Intellectual Property Office, Jiangsu Center, to carry out the topic of "PCT Patent Application and Layout" Lectures. And lectures attracted more than forty students and teachers of science and engineering majors.
Kuiguo Han, Deputy Dean of the School of Intellectual Property, Jiangsu University, presided over the lecture.
Director Ding introduced the PCT system from the Paris Convention. She explained in depth the program design, content and characteristics of the PCT system, and China's accession to the PCT through case studies.
The lecture site had frequent interactions and a lively atmosphere. Director Ding and Dean Han gave patient and detailed answers to the questions about the PCT patent application process, drafting, patent layout and other content raised by the teachers and students.
This lecture gave teachers and students a deeper understanding of the policies and procedures of PCT application. It has a positive meaning that promoted the creation and application of patent achievements.
This lecture is one of the 4.26 series of intellectual property activities launched by the School of Intellectual Property of Jiangsu University. It aims to create a strong intellectual property culture atmosphere of "respecting knowledge, advocating innovation, honesty and abiding by the law" on campus, to improve intellectual property rights of teachers and students and to promote the high-level construction of our school’s national intellectual property pilot universities.
