Intellectual Property College Organizes Students and Teachers to Watch "Spring 2024 School Fire Evacuation Drill Public Lecture" and Demonstration on the Use of Fire Fighting Equipment

In order to effectively enhance the fire safety awareness and self-prevention and self-rescue escape ability of teachers and students of the college, to protect the life safety of teachers and students, and to create a safe working and learning environment, according to the requirements of the school, at 9:00 a.m. on March 15, the College of Intellectual Property organised teachers and students to focus on watching the "Spring 2024 School Fire Evacuation and Escape Exercise Public Lecture", which was jointly held by the National Fire and Rescue Bureau and the Ministry of Education, and to conduct a demonstration of the use of fire-fighting equipment. Dean Zhao Guanbing, Vice President Han Kuiguo, Li Qiang and all the staff and student representatives attended the activity.


The public lecture was jointly organised by Chongqing Fire and Rescue Department and Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, and the main classroom was set up in Chongqing People's Primary School. The content of the open class includes the school auditorium, teaching building, dormitory building different places in the event of a fire how to evacuate and escape in an orderly manner, the dormitory fixed to wait for help how to do, how to put out the initial fire, and so on. Also on the three scenes of the initial fire fighting demonstration on-site Q&A: how to choose the escape position? Do you need a wet towel to cover your nose and mouth in a fire? Is it feasible to make a rope to escape from the high-rise? Live class to the combination of live lectures and live exercises, the main venue and branch linkage, vivid and intuitive.


After the end of the viewing, the college organised a demonstration of the use of fire fighting equipment for teachers and students. Wang Manrong, director of the Party and Government Office, focused on the correct use of dry powder fire extinguishers and fire hydrants, and patiently guided teachers and students to use on-site explanations and demonstrations. Through interaction, it deepened the sense of cognition, participation and experience of teachers and students on fire fighting equipment, so that the fire fighting knowledge and safety awareness of all teachers and students in theory and practice has been further strengthened, so that we attach great importance to safety from the thought and action, and proficiency in daily fire emergency rescue skills.


Safety is no small matter, and prevention is better than cure. The "Spring 2024 School Fire Evacuation and Escape Drill Open Class" and the demonstration of the use of fire fighting equipment provided a simulation training for the teachers and students of the School of Intellectual Property, enhanced the teachers' and students' awareness of prevention and the ability to escape and save themselves in case of emergencies, and further improved the School's safety and emergency response capability, which played a safeguarding role in promoting the high quality development of the experiments, teaching and research of the School and gave a positive impetus to the construction of a safe campus, It has played a role in guaranteeing the high-quality development of our experimental, teaching and scientific research, and has played a positive role in promoting the construction of a safe campus.
