As the 25th World Intellectual Property Day approaches, the 9th Zhenjiang University Student Intellectual Property Knowledge Competition and the Jiangsu University theme event for World Intellectual Property Day 2025 were successfully held on the afternoon of April 24th at Jiangsu University. Zhang Weidong, Director of the Publicity and Education Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property Office; Zhai Chunhui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Zhenjiang Municipal Market Supervision Administration; and Wang Jingquan, Vice President of Jiangsu University, attended the event and delivered speeches. Xu Jialun, Deputy Secretary of the Zhenjiang Municipal Youth League Committee, was also present. The event was co-hosted by the Zhenjiang Municipal Intellectual Property Office and the Zhenjiang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, with Jiangsu University as the organizer. More than 300 attendees included leaders from relevant functional departments and colleges of Jiangsu University, as well as representatives of teachers and students from universities in Zhenjiang. The event was hosted by Zhao Guanbing, Dean of the Intellectual Property School at Jiangsu University.

During the competition, teams from eight universities, including Jiangsu University, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Vocational College of Agricultural and Forestry Technology, Jiangsu Aviation Vocational College, Jiangsu Transportation Technician College, Zhenjiang Technician College, Jinshan Vocational Technology College, and Zhenjiang Higher Vocational School, engaged in fierce competition. They demonstrated their knowledge, sharp thinking, and team spirit, striving to showcase their capabilities. Ultimately, Jiangsu Vocational College of Agricultural and Forestry Technology won the first prize, Jiangsu University and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology took the second prize, while Jinshan Vocational Technology College, Jiangsu Transportation Technician College, and Jiangsu Aviation Vocational College received the third prize.

At the Jiangsu University theme event for World Intellectual Property Day 2025, Tang Heng, Secretary of the Intellectual Property School at Jiangsu University, presented a plaque to the school’s internship and practice base. Vice Dean Han Kuiguo of the Intellectual Property School released the Zhenjiang New Generation Information Technology Industry Patent Navigation Report. Furthermore, scholarships were awarded to outstanding students in recognition of their academic and moral excellence.

The theme of this event was “Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence,” aiming to vigorously promote the culture of intellectual property and enhance university students’ awareness of intellectual property.
