Date:2025-08-20 ClickTimes:

Recently, Tang Heng, the Party Secretary of the School of Intellectual Property, led a delegation to carry out special research at the Jiangsu Center for Patent Examination Cooperation of the National Intellectual Property Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Jiangsu Center for Examination Cooperation). They conducted in-depth exchanges on intellectual property professional talent cultivation and industry-university-research collaborative innovation.

During the research, Tang Heng introduced in detail the college's educational philosophy of "solid foundation, emphasis on application, and strong characteristics," as well as the first batch of three-year master's program in intellectual property. At the same time, a systematic discussion was conducted on the current status and challenges of intellectual property talent cultivation. Li Jie, Director of the Jiangsu Center of the Patent Examination Cooperation (PEC), pointed out that with the deepening of the innovation-driven development strategy, the demand for 复合型人才 with "technology+law+management" from enterprises has been growing exponentially. It is recommended that universities cultivate intellectual property elites with engineering thinking and practical abilities through interdisciplinary integration.

During this research, both parties reached a consensus on deepening strategic cooperation and cross-disciplinary talent cultivation. The Intellectual Property College will leverage its think tank advantages to provide theoretical research and other intellectual support to the Jiangsu Center of PEC. A "dual mentorship system" will be implemented in the master's program, with senior examiners from the Jiangsu Center of PEC serving as industry mentors. The Jiangsu Center of PEC will open up practical resources and provide internship and training bases, jointly exploring an integrated cultivation model of "teaching-practice-employment." This aims to explore the construction of a new paradigm for "university-local collaboration" that precisely connects intellectual property talent education with industrial needs, injecting new momentum into serving national strategic needs and regional innovation development.

Academic Vice President Han Kuiguo and Zhang Hongjun, head of Jiangsu Huizhi Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd., participated in the research.
