School of Intellectual Property Conducts Special Survey on Collaborative Innovation of Patents and Standards in Suzhou

Date:2025-08-20 ClickTimes:

To deeply implement the innovation-driven development strategy and explore effective pathways for the integrated development of patents and standards, from August 13 to 14, the School of Intellectual Property, at the invitation of the Jiangsu Provincial Knowledge Management Standardization Technical Committee, conducted a special survey on collaborative innovation of patents and standards in Suzhou. Led by Tang Heng, the Party Secretary of the School's direct branch and Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Knowledge Management Standardization Committee, and accompanied by Han Kuiguo, Vice Dean of the School, and Zhang Hongjun, Head of Jiangsu Huizhi Intellectual Property Service Co., Ltd., the survey team participated in the research.

The research team visited benchmark enterprises such as Suzhou Huayuan Packaging Co., Ltd., Weikang Probiotics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., Bozong Precision Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhuimai Innovation Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Through a combination of specialized discussions and on-site inspections, the team systematically understood the practical experience of enterprises in areas such as patent layout and standard formulation. The focus was on in-depth discussions on institutional barriers, technical transformation bottlenecks, and service support needs in the work of "patent standardization," aiming to summarize replicable and scalable "Suzhou experiences" to provide references for the integrated development of patents and standards across the province and even the country.

Tang Heng pointed out during the research that as a leading innovative city in the country, Suzhou has formed a development path of "technological patenting-patent standardization-standard industrialization" in the integration of patents and standards, which has important reference significance. The research team will systematically sort out the research results, specifically break through the pain points and bottlenecks in the integration of enterprises, promote the formation of a sound ecosystem for the coordinated development of patents and standards, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of Jiangsu.

This research has built an efficient communication platform for multi-party cooperation among universities, enterprises, and governments. In the future, the School of Intellectual Property will actively work with the Provincial Standardization Committee to establish a policy support system for the integrated development of patents and standards, injecting strong standardized momentum into the transformation and upgrading of Jiangsu's manufacturing industry.
