On September 7, the university held the opening ceremony for the 2025 freshmen in the lecture hall on the first floor of the library. The ceremony was attended by all leaders of the college, representatives of faculty, senior student representatives, undergraduate freshmen, and their parents. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice President Li Qiang.
President Zhao Guanbing, on behalf of all faculty and staff of the college, welcomed the 2025 freshmen to join the family of the Intellectual Property College. With the theme "Focusing on Industry Needs and Cultivating Intellectual Property Elite," he introduced in detail the history of the college, its professional advantages and characteristics, talent cultivation models, and outcomes. He hoped that the students would promptly transition from passive to active learning, strengthen self-management, plan their careers, set clear goals, and ultimately achieve personal value.
During the on-site exchange between teachers and students, the atmosphere was lively. Students actively asked questions, focusing on multiple aspects such as STEM course learning, club activities, micro-major courses, course selection, qualification exams, and social practice. Teachers answered each question one by one.
Party Secretary Tang Heng extended a warm welcome to all the 2025 freshmen and their parents. She pointed out that the School of Intellectual Property has always adhered to specialized development, rooted in the industry background, cultivating intellectual property elite talents that meet national strategies and industry demands. She elaborated in detail on the school's small but exquisite nature, and hoped that the students would plan their personal goals early for a bright future, maintain a positive and upward spirit, and truly become the intellectual property elite talents that the country needs.
Senior student representative Li Ningxin delivered a speech; new students' parents watched the opening ceremony in an online and offline format throughout.
