On December 7, the College invited Wang Ying, Deputy Director of the Wuxi Intellectual Property Bureau, to give a special academic lecture. Over 30 doctoral, master's, and undergraduate students majoring in intellectual property participated.

In the lecture, Wang Ying introduced the topic with "The Game of Career Choices and Intellectual Property Protection," systematically analyzing four core sections: the latest trends in China's intellectual property litigation, the diverse and complex battlefield of intellectual property offense and defense, practical enterprise IPR risk prevention and control, and observations on new business models. She emphasized that administrative system reforms and numerous judicial and administrative enforcement cases indicate that China's intellectual property protection has now demonstrated unprecedented strength, enhanced efficiency, a well-structured system, and diversified dispute resolution mechanisms.

In response to the complex alignment issues in practice, Wang Ying focused on explaining the alignment paths and innovative mechanisms between administrative and civil, as well as administrative and criminal systems under the "dual-track" protection model. She shared practical experiences in enhancing protection effectiveness through cross-regional collaboration and tiered accountability measures. Regarding the career development concerns of the students, Wang Ying clearly outlined the core modules and competency requirements for enterprise IPR work. She encouraged the students to establish a correct professional perspective, stay grounded in reality, and continuously learn to solidify their professional foundation, striving to grow into versatile talents capable of solving practical problems.

This lecture was cutting-edge and rich in case studies, serving as an important practice for the college to deepen its "industry-academia-research-application" talent cultivation model. It provided authoritative insights for connecting theoretical knowledge with industry practice for IPR students, earning unanimous praise from both faculty and students.
