To continuously explore the establishment of practical carrier platforms in collaboration with high-level research platforms and leading enterprises, and to create a new paradigm of industry-education joint cultivation for intellectual property master's programs characterized by "theories from universities, scenarios from enterprises, and capabilities for students," recently, the School of Intellectual Property at Jiangsu University organized a graduate student team to conduct thematic practical research and investigation at the Gusu Laboratory.
Professor Tang Heng, Secretary of the directly affiliated Party Branch of the School, and Wang Pengfei, Director of Intellectual Property at Gusu Laboratory, held in-depth discussions on the off-campus joint training model for Master of Intellectual Property students.
Aiming to grow together with start-ups, students will be organized into grade-level groups for step-by-step training and participate in projects at start-ups in different phases.
"We see not only the intellectual property work model of enterprises, but also a possibility—where schools collaborate with top research institutions to help students grow into capable intellectual property talents who can fight tough battles in real-world scenarios." A student who participated in the research deeply felt this.
The Suzhou Laboratory has established multiple cutting-edge technology research and development platforms for future industries. Students have personally experienced how intellectual property has deeply integrated into the entire chain of industrial innovation, from patent mining in the R&D stage, to standard pre-embedding in technical route selection, to rights allocation in the process of results transformation.
