To cultivate compound talents for intellectual property who can synergize the development of technical standards and intellectual property, and to assist enterprises in their digital and intelligent transformation from "passive adaptation" to "proactive leadership," recently, Tang Heng, the Party Secretary of the School of Intellectual Property, led a team to conduct special research at enterprises.

The research team conducted indepth visits to two benchmark enterprises in the electrical motor subsector — Suzhou Jufeng Electric Insulation Systems Co., Ltd. and Suzhou ELEGRP Electrical Manufacturing Co., Ltd. — to decode the practical pathway of “technology patenting, patent standardization, and standard industrialization.” During the visits, the team engaged in indepth exchanges with the companies on core issues such as overseas standard deployment and patent pool operation, and reached multiple cooperation agreements. Both sides will carry out collaborative work in areas including standards formulation, patent layout, and joint training of interdisciplinary talent.

The integration of patents and standards is a crucial pathway for enterprises to transition from "technological followers" to "rule participants" and ultimately to "rule setters." Through this survey, the College will continue to promote the precise alignment of academic research with industrial needs, continuously optimize the integrated talent training model in intellectual property, and supply the industry with professionals skilled in the integration of standards and intellectual property with industry backgrounds.
