Recently, the “Sugong Zhichuang, Zhichan Tongxing” innovation training camp for leaders of model-worker (skilled-talent) innovation studios of provincial and ministry-affiliated enterprises, organized by the School of Intellectual Property of Jiangsu University, was successfully concluded at Jiangsu University. Jointly hosted by the Jiangsu Trade Union of Provincial and Ministry-affiliated Enterprises and Institutions and the Jiangsu Workers’ Science and Technology Activity Center, the program selected more than 50 leaders and core members of model-worker innovation studios from across the province for a four-day intensive training course, using a closed-loop teaching model of “theoretical lectures—hands-on drills—case studies—team competitions.”

The camp was a concrete measure to implement the Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Trade Unions’ requirement of “carrying out large-scale rotational training for industrial workers,” as well as a vivid practice in deepening the “Sugong Zhichuang, Zhichan Tongxing” brand and promoting a tiered, categorized, demand-driven training model. All participants entered the camp with “real problems” from frontline innovation and applied review checklists throughout every teaching session, keeping the training precisely focused on pain points in upgrading their studios. Courses covered the six-step method for reviewing studio development, patent novelty search and report writing, AI technology selection, and TRIZ innovation methodology. National model workers and “Great Craftsmen of the Nation,” including Liu Yunqing and Zhu Hongbin, were invited to share practical experience in identifying and tackling frontline technical challenges, with teaching fully integrated with production cases.

The successful holding of the camp marked an important collaborative practice in deepening the reform of the industrial workforce. Leveraging its national-level intellectual property platforms and integrated industry-university-research service advantages, the School of Intellectual Property of Jiangsu University continues to provide systematic innovation-empowerment training for model workers, craftsmen, and leading skilled talents across the province, consolidate the foundation of enterprise employee innovation, and inject skilled-craftsman momentum into Jiangsu’s industrial transformation and upgrading and the accelerated development of new quality productive forces.
